Health Guarantee

For a period of 7 (seven) days, we warrant the bird to be free from illness or disease, unless noted, at the
time of sale.  We recommend that you have the bird examined by an avian veterinarian within this time
period to ensure the health of your bird.  If the examination finds any illness or disease, the bird can be
returned for a full refund or exchanged for another bird of the same kind, should one be available.  The
bird and a letter and/or invoice from an avian veterinarian must accompany any claim for refund based on
this guarantee.  Any and all veterinary fees are the sole responsibility of the owner.

Return Policy

We cannot guarantee that this bird will be the right match for your living conditions.  If for any reason, it is
not working out and you would like to return the bird to Rowan's Exotic Bird, we will gladly accept its
return but no credit or refund will be issued.  This bird's return will be considered a "rescue" and may be
placed up for adoption to another family.

Price Policy

Although all attempts will be made to ensure prices shown are current, our prices are subject to
change without notice.

Sexing

If you desire having your bird DNA sexed, we can accommodate this request for an additional $20 fee.

Deposit

We reserve the right to request a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the purchase price of the bird. A
deposit is required to hold a baby.  Make a deposit on a baby and take your time paying.  Some birds take
months to wean; this gives you months to pay.  All baby birds come with a written health guarantee.  All
babies are socialized with children and other birds.  They are weaned onto a pelleted and/or seed diet
(depending on the species) with plenty of fresh and vegetables.

We also offer a lifetime of assistance, and training help . Although we are a closed aviary to the general
public, we encourage new owners to come and visit with their babies.  Visiting hours are available by
appointment to come and see your baby as he grows.

Shipping

Due to the economic struggles our country is facing, shipping is not as available as it used to be.  I cannot
guarantee shipping or airline prices, which are subject to change without notice.

If you would like to check on shipping for a bird, you can call any of the numbers below and request to know if
there is a flight available.  Be sure to tell them it is a parrot and will be coming out of BWI Airport, to the airport
of your choice.  Carrier sizes and weights for each species are listed below.

Rowan's Exotic Birds can ship birds to almost all International Airports.  Some airports that are not International
can be shipped to as well, but many of them have only commuter flights and do not have air conditioned and
heated cargo areas for the animals, thus they are not equipped to take them. We ship all our birds out of BWI
Airport, in Baltimore. We take care of all the details of booking flights and give you complete information on
where and how to pick up your bird.  All you will need is a photo ID.

We ship only in the United States.  We do not ship Internationally.

Safety Issues:
We have shipped dozens of birds, and so far we have never had a problem.  The birds have arrived safe
and sound. Most handfed babies will come out of the carrier willingly and do not seem to be stressed.  If
your bird does not come out willingly, please don't worry that he is not a friendly bird, it's just that like
humans, birds all react differently.  It seems that sometimes we humans are more stressed out than the
bird are over the whole ordeal.  So relax, have a cup of tea, and be excited instead!

Cost of Shipping:
Runs approximately $125-$135 for birds up to African grey or Amazon size in small to medium sized cat
carriers. For Cockatoo's, Macaws or pairs of larger birds the cost is $145.  Multiple smaller birds can
usually share a carrier for no additional cost.  Cost includes shipping and a carrier with a perch.  We ship
the birds with a nice selection of foods, including oranges and fruit for their liquid content.  Unless
otherwise arranged, we ship on Fridays.  The flights must leave BWI Airport on or around 12pm.
Different airlines have different weight allowances before the cost of shipping goes up, which is between
9 - 15 pounds depending on what the airlines allow.

Carriers Sizes:
Small cat:  13" wide x 19" long x 10" high. Weight:  3-4 pounds.
